Unemployment levels skyrocket, and every day Americans are losing their jobs to a suffering economy. Will yours be next? Learn how to beat the crisis by starting your own home based business that can provide you with more money than your day time job in a matter of months. Starting your own business in a bad economy is much easier than it seems. I just read the other day that unemployment hit a record high. 7.2 percent in December 2008, which sets a record for the highest it has ever been in 16 years.
In 2008 a total of 2.6 million Americans lost their jobs in 2008.
That is a very scary figure, and they say it's going to get worse before it gets better. So what can you do to protect yourself? Starting your own business may seem like a bad idea in this economy, and certain businesses are not worth starting in a bad economy, but there are lots of other opportunities to consider.
Many people fear about starting a home based or internet business. And I've found that most of the time the fear isn't so much that they are going to get scammed, it's that they don't have the confidence in themselves to succeed because they don't know anything about the industry. They don't know all the ins and outs about affiliate marketing, they don't know how and where to market their product, they don't think they can give a proper sales pitch, or they just don't know enough about computers and the internet. The truth is, you don;t need to know any of this stuff inside and out. There are some many home based business platforms out there that are automated in order to reduce workload. Take a look at a few examples of fears that people have, and how to overcome them:
1. I don't know anything about affiliate marketing. An affiliate marketer is basically someone who is promoting the same product that many other people are promoting, and in return for the sale, commissions ranging from 50%-75% are common. The costs of some of these products can range from $30 to thousands of dollars.
2. I don't know where to market the product. Most people when they start out have trouble with this one. Just marketing and advertising a product is the easiest thing you could ever do. However, marketing to a targeted audience is where the trouble comes in. Truth is, most home based business platforms will teach you how, and it's pretty straight forward. They will show you where to place ads and market your material. Some ads you can purchase for immediate results, other ads you can place for free, and results may to a couple of weeks.
3. I don't know hot to give a sales pitch. Guess what, you are not alone. Most people don;t know how to give a an effective sales pitch, and that's ok. If talking to people is not your thing, then look for a business that doesn't require you to.
4. I am not computer savvy. Many people worry about how to build their own website, learning html, all that good stuff. Again, there are plenty of business platforms out there that don't require you to know that stuff. If you want to learn it, grab a book that teaches the basics. It's really amazing how quickly you will pick it up.
I have spent many years testing and researching different home based business platforms to see which ones work and which ones do not. After many years, I have found several that did consistantly generate a sizable income.
The business platform minimizes workload through the use of very automated systems, including everything from lead generation, marketing, closing sales for you, and tracking all you information. They even have a full support club with forums, help desk, and free marketing material to help you get started immediately.
